Exotic summary of famous hill stations of South India

Coonoor - Coonoor is situated on the eastern side of the south India extremity of the Doddabetta range, at an altitude of 1,858 metres above the sea level. To add on, the weather of the town remains enjoyably fresh round the whole year.



Ooty - Udhagamandalam better known as Ooty, the capital of Nilgiri district, is popularly known as the "Queen of hill stations' among the tourist circuits. Coimbatore city is 105 km away from the hill station.


Nilgiri Hills - An exotic collection of mountains comprising of at least 24 peaks crossing the 2250 meters mark, Niligiri or Blue Mountain is located in the western corner of Tamil Nadu coinciding with the intersecting edges of Karnataka and Kerala. "Blue Mountains" is the meaning of Nilgiri. The whole area of the Blue Mountains constitutes the present district of Nilgiri.


Munnar – Munnar is situated at the convergence of three mountain streams namely Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Munnar is a special destination for tourists, as in addition, its location at 1600 meter height from sea level endows it with particularly pleasant climatic conditions and invigoratingly fresh air.


Kodaikanal - Over and over again complimented as the “Princess of Hill Stations”, KodaiKanal or Kodai sits high on the southern peak of the Palani hills, around 2100 meters above the sea level. It is very famous among tourists for its tranquil panoramic beauty. Kodaikanal is a charming hill station - wooded slopes, mighty rocks, enhancing waterfalls and a beautiful lake. 'Kurinji-flower' is the pride of Kodaikanal, which blossoms once in 12 years.
